An exact 1 to 1 scale replica of the original TV filming miniature .\

This project marked the first time that Custom Replicas was able to recreate a special F/X miniature directly from a restoration mold copy casting of the original TV filming miniature. It is authentic and exactly to scale with the original 1965 TV show Lost in Space version of the Jupiter 2. The body is made entirely of fiberglass, resin parts, and clear vacuum-forming. The miniature includes such features as fully retractable brass metal landing gear, closing foot-pad doors, speed controlled fusion-core lighting, astral dome lighting, and interior cockpit lights. All switches are hidden under the rear upper hull blister hatch. The project was started and completed in 2000, and is by popular consensus, one of the defining projects that Custom Replicas is most proud to have accomplished.
