A "Straight out of the box" build of the popular Atomic City Mercury capsule, and escape tower. Given all the that could be added, the call was to demonstrate the inherent beauty of standard kit offering.

The kit comes with a complete Launch Escape Tower ( LES ) which can be mounted permanently, or left detachable for other display combinations. Additionally, the antenna can unit with operable destabilization flap can be affixed or detached from the capsule body.

According to the instructions, the retro-pack can be separated as well, but due to the delicate nature of the straps and wiring, we felt it best to leave that attached, allowing for display on the optional Gerath's Designs accessory base. The above picture shows the complete model resting on it's retro pack with all separatable components in place.

While not an Accurate Models kit offering, it serves as the basis for a possible  future accessory kit, which would concentrate on providing many interior details such as individualized control boards, alternate hatch, alternate windows, parachutes, forward bulkhead, alternate astronaut, white metal wiring for the LES, as well as some minor misc. details.
